Human-centred insights and client management platform
levo is a human-centred insights and client management platform that enables and empowers primary health, mental health and social services to harness their own data and insights to evidence their impact.
levo is a human-centred client management and insights platform, developed by KYS. Designed to assess, track, and measure the wellbeing journeys of taiohi over time.
levo utilises a comprehensive suite of outcome measures spanning 18 different areas of taiohi life (subdomains) including their spirituality, identity and cultural identity, mental and emotional health and physical health.
It enables services to harness their own data and insights to evidence their impact, supporting reflective practice and informing service delivery. These measures help conceptualise and track change, informing how interventions and services are impacting the lives of taiohi.
In 2011, KYS partnered with evaluators and received funding from the Health Research Council to develop a youth outcomes model with a set of measures.
A core aim of the model was to create a shared language and consistent assessment tool across integrated services—a critical need in integrated youth care. In integrated settings, where professionals from health, mental health, social work, and education may all support the same taiohi, lack of consistency and a shared language can lead to rangatahi falling through the cracks.
By using the same outcome framework and rating scale, practitioners from different disciplines can communicate more effectively, coordinate care, and focus on shared goals for rangatahi. This ensures that every part of the system is working in unison, rather than siloed and the wellbeing of taiohi is not viewed in isolation. It also ensures that service providers and funders can rely on consistent, comparable data when evaluating progress and allocating resources.
KYS trialled the model as part of an impact evaluation which identified the changes experienced by rangatahi and the contribution KYS made to those changes.
